Have you ever felt like life is an uphill battle?
Well if you have, I have some interesting news…
First, the answer may be MUCH simpler than you realize.
And second, it may actually be costing you a lot of money.
Does this sound familiar…
You are going into work every day, but the joy and fulfillment just isn’t there. You aren’t sure if you’re not getting a promotion / raise because of it, but then again, you aren’t surprised since you’re not happy there.
(I had this one – big time at my last full time “job.” Every morning when I walked in the office, I felt like I was checking my personality at the door. I couldn’t be who I wanted to be.)
If you run a business, then you may find that although you are trying to make more money in your business, and so you ask for more money for your services, programs or products. BUT you are just not getting the yes’s that you are looking for.
How ever you choose to earn money… You may find that you say you want to get paid $X (that’s what you decide your work is “worth”), but then you ask for it (with hesitation), and (not so surprisingly) you don’t get it.
It is most likely a core Misalignment.
OWN YOUR MONEY TIP: When you are not aligned between what you say and how you feel, you are inherently less effective and less believable. Because really… if you can’t internally get behind what you say you want, then how can you expect someone else to?
ACTION STEP: Determine which of these three misalignment mistakes you may be making. My colleague and “Superstar Activator” Michelle Villalobos and I (pic with me at right) put this together for you:
1) Mistake #1: Brand Misalignment – What you do for work is not actually aligned with your purpose or your passions.
2) Mistake #2: Business Model Misalignment – What you specifically offer is not aligned with how you want to be serving people and serving the way you want to live your life.
(Most people try and cram their life around their work/business instead of deciding on the life they want to live and then building their work/ business around that.)
3) Mistake #3: Brain Misalignment – When your internal beliefs and thoughts don’t match your external actions and results.
So now consider which mistake you may be making, and take just ONE step to align your internal wants with your external structure and actions.

10 years later, and after lots of anxiety along the way until I figured this out, now I can wake up each day enjoying what I do, committed to living in alignment.
When I sense I am out of alignment (which usually results in physical dis-ease first), then I take stock and re-commit to correcting wherever I went astray. It is actually incredible how my earning then up-levels to match my new alignment. Now is your chance to do that too…
Speaking of alignment, I’m going to start the weekend with my two kiddos and begin the birthday celebrations here with Rebecca turning 2 on Sunday. But as you can see from this very recent pic, we aren’t quite done celebrating her turning one! Lol
Have a great aligned celebration weekend!
