Becoming financially independent does not mean you have to do it alone.
I am a walking testimony of that – from the initial reach out that I asked for when literally buried under piles of paperwork to my regular investments in mentors and team to shorten my learning curve and allow me to focus more on my unique skills and family.
OWN YOUR MONEY TIP: Just because it is winter, it does NOT mean you have to pay astronomical heating bills. You can consciously minimize your heating bills as much as possible. Start by turning down your heat when you are not at home (or set your thermostat to do it for you), or make sure it is down on the floor you are not on. For instance, if your bedrooms are upstairs then turn down the heat downstairs an hour before you are heading to bed. Don’t turn it down too much (like 5-10 degrees is good) or it will take a while and have to work quite hard to warm back up.
But really, who likes throwing money away heating an empty home/apartment? One of the best investments I ever made was in a programmable thermostat – it paid for itself in the first month!
