What I Did Last Summer

by Belinda Rosenblum

Clambakes, Umbrella Drinks, Baseball, Hot Dogs, Convertibles,
Suntans, Hot Fudge Sundaes, Bikinis, Lemonade, Water skiing, Beach Balls, BBQs….Wow, how the summer has flown by!

Now that we are in our final week of summer, I am smiling as I recall the adventures… climbing the shoulders of my boyfriend to share a picture and a laugh with a 12-ft tall Uncle Sam, spending a day at the playground with my oldest nephew Spencer (2 ½ going on 5), the birth of my 2nd nephew, being interviewed for Money Matters radio wearing a Hawaiian lei for a bonus video telecast, hanging with America’s Dream Coach Marcia Wieder, Money Expert Loral Langemeier, and Social Media Maven Mari Smith
at this summer’s conferences, or volunteering last weekend at a
field day for adults with disabilities.

What did I do this summer?
I had a lot of fun in Vermont. I visited my family’s old house in Stratton and took a trip down memory lane. I had a great time doing the alpine slide (if you have never done it – I recommend it – just do not go TOO fast). Besides that, spent some great time with family. I completed a 3rd sprint triathlon which I love to do. Lastly, one of my top 5 favorite days of the year – Yom Sport a mini special olympics day for adults with disabilities.

Highlights of Heidi’s summer Great question and to be able to walk down memory lane again and seeing and re-living all of the amazing memories that were created truly has me see how blessed I am.. My context for the summer was Love creates miracles…….James Taylor concert at Tanglewood was a favorite of mine, dancing aboard the Odyssey Boston harbor cruise while watching the sunset and dancing at the Motown event in Narragansett RI, visiting my nephew Trevor at Hood college to see him as big man on campus now, hiking pergatory chasm with my other two nephews and younger sis, kyacking at the state park with David to the island and swimming from shore to shore, teaching tennis lessons again, walks on krane’s beach, plum island beach, Jones beach, MV beaches (lucy vincent beach, menemsha), etc. Newburyport B&B experience and listening to music by the ocean, great restaurant and great food while looking over the ocean, Outings with friends that I’ll never forget to wineries at the NoFO in the hamptons, Chilmark women’s fun event (twice with two groups of amazing women in my life), dancing in OB until our feet hurt, Long Island excursion and driving in my friends new convertible audi, and feeling totally cherished and adored by a new beau who knows how to spoil me with his love, flowers and his gentlemanly ways. There was so much more because I created abundance and love does create miracles… : ) Thanks B for the opportunity to walk down memory lane of Summer 2010……… Love Heidi
