Yesterday, I had a total face-palm moment… you know, when you realize something that was right in front of you but you couldn’t see it.
Like when you can’t find your glasses, and they are on your head!
Here’s what happened…
I was on a peer mastermind call and was sharing about my upcoming new workshops. When I told them about what I was going to be teaching, they were on the edge of their seats. BUT when I told them just the “High Profit Offers” title, they were downright confused and not sure what they would get by joining in.
And I’m SO SORRY if I confused you too!
I pride myself on clarity and simplicity and I think I got caught up in the excitement of the launch. I needed to trust my gut here and be curious about how I could make this a no-brainer yes for you.
Exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated. Have you ever felt like that when it comes to your business?
My client Samantha did. Join me for a quick storytime…
Yeah, her business was making money, but she was working way too hard.
Her days were jammed packed. Wake up. Grab a cup of coffee. Chase a toddler. Work on the business. Feed the toddler. Work on her business. REPEAT.
If she had a spare moment, she was working on her business.
Then she’d feel guilty for not spending time with her husband and baby. Then feel overwhelmed because balls were getting dropped at work.
It had turned into a no-win situation.
She was making money — and one of her offers was generating a ton of interest.
The problem?
She dreaded selling it because it was underpriced and very time intensive so it was eating up crazy amounts of time.
Samantha was slowly raising the price but was concerned if she charged a lot more, then her clients would expect a lot more — and her integrity had her doubt if she could live up to the higher price (even though she had tons of proof that she got awesome results for her clients).
That time of year when we’re all feeling pumped, ready to smash our goals, and take the world by storm — once we get over the “holy cow it’s 2024 and I don’t have my plan done yet” feeling.
I feel that way too, and even shared on Tuesday how connecting with my WHY helps me feel ready and excited for 2024.
But all January excitement aside, I also want to keep it real and address the elephant in the room. Actually, it might be more accurate to say the herd of elephants!
I’m talking about the obstacles that can feel like they’re standing right in the middle of your path to getting from where you are NOW to where you want to be in your business.
Any of these sound familiar?
You’re time strapped. The days fly by, and working even longer hours just isn’t an option you want. How can you possibly find more hours to serve more clients, make more money, and break through that persistent income ceiling you keep hitting up against?
The overwhelm never seems to go away. You’re SO ready for your breakthrough year, but you’re just not sure what your right next step is each day. Anxiety and uncertainty keep coming up as you try to figure out how to prioritize ALL the things that seem to need your attention NOW.
You keep second guessing yourself. You see other people killing it, and the sneaky voice in your head asks you who you think you are to even DREAM of charging those kind of rates or achieving that kind of success.
If you’re wrestling with any of these “elephants”, it can stop you in your tracks and keep you playing small.
Happy New Year! 2024 is officially here, and I don’t know about you but I’m feeling pumped and ready to kick some business butt in the year ahead!
And it’s ok if you’re still coming off the vacation feeling and trying to get motivated too. Then today’s note below is even more important for you to connect with why you started this whole business thing in the first place.
I took some time this past week to get quiet, plan, and reconnect with my “why”. You know, the not-so-obvious motivations that keep me passionate about putting my all into my business.
Things like:
Having a business that’s life-proof so that when life throws an unexpected curveball, my livelihood and family’s needs aren’t at risk. A breast cancer diagnosis in 2022 was a wake up call that brought this one home for me big time.
Being a role model for my kids, showing them that you can be a great Mom AND have a successful business. Sometimes it’s a bit of magic and mess at the same time, but really no, you don’t have to choose.
Making an impact in the world and living my passion to help other female business owners not only thrive but be unapologetically successful in their businesses AND their personal lives.
Having the time and financial flexibility to live life on my own terms, and showing others that they can do that too.
