Here is a damaging admission….

In my first 5 years of business, I used to keep raising my prices after every two clients said yes.

As I gained more confidence in presenting my program and actually saying my new prices out loud, I would keep bumping up the price.

(That strategy worked — and I would still recommend it to you too if a big increase feels uncomfortable and misaligned.)

…But here’s where I went wrong.

I felt a need to keep adding MORE to the offer each time I raised my prices. 

Sometimes I added more coaching time with me, or other times I just let go of my boundaries and let the sessions run over. Or I would add extra templates and trainings.

And very quickly, this overdelivering was putting me on the fast track to burnout and was actually overwhelming my clients. 

THE #1 MISTAKE: I realized I was making the mistake of thinking I needed to DO more so I could CHARGE more. 

That was when I became obsessed with discovering how to price based on value (instead of based on time spent) and believe in the power of my own expertise.

You see, when I changed my approach to pricing everything changed.

I love short cuts, but I’m wondering if you do too?

As I sit here reflecting on the 3-day leadership event I’m at in Phoenix, I realize that I am no longer willing to wait months or years to learn something I or our business needs. Instead, I take bold actions to fast-track my progress.

Because we always pay for our learning…

Either in time or money.

Essentially, either you invest the hours and hours of time to learn it yourself or you invest the money for someone to show you the way.

And occasionally, you’re able to save the time without spending the money.
