Question for you:

Do you ever wonder why it feels so difficult to scale your business?

Why does it seem like some entrepreneurs are growing constantly and actually ENJOYING it, while you feel like you can barely take on another client without sacrificing your time or sanity?

Here’s the thing, my friend:

Building a scalable business beyond 100k revenue per year isn’t just about bringing on more clients + making more revenue.

Stay with me! If increasing what you’re already doing was just about more revenue and clients… well, you’d have to WORK more, right?

And you already know much more of that is just not possible (or every day feels like this):

In fact, I’m willing to bet that adding MORE work wouldn’t even necessarily add more money to your personal bank account.

It’s probably just adding more stress and resentment toward your business because it’s taking you further away from your family and friends.

So if only focusing on increasing revenue isn’t going to help you, what do you need to do next…?

Taking one more marketing course, learning one more sales tactic, or trying one more promotion isn’t solving the real underlying challenge holding you back from…

>>> Taking home more money.
>>> Having more freedom to do the things you love (in your biz + in your life).
>>> Helping MORE people without having to feel burnt out and run down.

Here’s the truth about scaling:

‘If you want to have an exceptional life and do exceptional things, you have to put yourself in exceptional situations.” ~Jesse Itzler

And let’s be honest, most days are not so exceptional. They are all pretty much repeats of the day before. Every day.

So how do you create an exceptional life?

You seek out “exceptional situations” — and then jump in with both feet!

And, that is exactly what I did!

In my email recently starting with [Part 1], I shared my latest “exceptional thing” — called “Driveway To Hell” — I was scared, nervous, excited, … all. the. feelings!

Here’s a quick recap of the event:

* 13.1 miles up and down the driveway of Sara Blakely and Jesse’s driveway — gaining 3000 feet of elevation (for context, the Boston Marathon — including Heartbreak Hill — is 900 ft!)
* 5 hours to complete it!
* BYOT (bring your own tent) or rent a tent for accommodations
* World class speakers, like Inky Johnson, Ken Rideout, and Chris Hauth
* Cold plunges and sauna treatment from Embrace North
* Incredible food and snacks all along the way from “Souper Jenny”

Now I promised you some quick lessons learned…

My fingers looked like hot dogs and I started to lose feeling in them…

It was only 3 miles in for a 13.1 mile race and the dehydration started to kick in.

You see, I was participating in a brand-new event aptly called:

This was by far the hardest challenge that I have ever willingly signed myself up for.

I flew from Boston to Atlanta (on standby as my original flight was canceled), stayed overnight, drove 90 minutes to Rome, GA, and bussed to the secret site, which was the driveway of the farm/ cabins owned by Sara Blakely (founder of Spanx) and Jesse Itzler (NYT best-selling author, co-founder of Marquis Jet and partner in Zico Coconut Water, and an owner of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks).

After 2020 and 2021 felt like survival, I wanted more from 2022, so I joined a program called “The Calendar Club”, all about doing more of what we love every day by creating winning habits, winning routines and a winning mindset. That program is through the “Build Your Life Resume” company which put on this event, so I got an advanced invitation to this wild and crazy ride.

Setting the Scene:

But we didn’t stay in cabins or a hotel. 185 of us (me and my internet friends) camped out in a tent colony at the bottom of the “hill” in a beautiful forest. Well… beautiful until it stormed Saturday night or you looked too closely and noticed the poison ivy or the spiders. Yikes!
